To be a teach.... and be me at the same time......

Bonjour,


So this is a little word about my life. Be a teach it's very, very amazing. Each days are differents for the best or

the worst, but I'm always feel alive.   Teens are sooooo drama queen and sometimes  it's hard to do the

difference between what is it really a call for help and just a attention need's. Some are so alone, theirs parents

are never there for them. Two days ago, I just walked in the school at dinner's lunch and I saw one of my

students cried. This girl is very, very, very drama queen, she cry all the times, she's very big, but really, and I

think she's

has a mental problem (well you can see the picture). So I asked her what's wrong and she's told me

some things about her friends and she was sad and she cut herself and she's wanted to open her vein. The time stop
for a second and the ground had seems to open under my feet.  When I was a teen one of my best friend killed

himself and this is really, really hard to pass away..... 

I talked to her and I saw it was just for having attention but, if not...... I talked to a professionnal at the school and
she met someone and she's all right...... but its soooooooo hard, because what it is the balance between give

attention and don't because this is not help and really help someone who need......

Hey sweetie, -hugs- u had a rough day huh?

I work with teens who are suicidal/despairing and deal with this quite a lot, if you want to talk about it send me a message or something. You did the right thing as a teacher, it's pretty much all you could do.

Haaaa Abby thank you for your words. Yep, it's very hard because I don't know what I really can do or if what I do mean something to them.... But, like another teach told me: Nadine, you can save everyone, you have your life too, don't forget that..... But I think I'm just exhausted this days....

Must be so hard to be a teacher and have to walk that fine line between helping and knowing when they are just being drama queens. I couldn't do it...so more power to you my friend *HUGS*

Naaaa ma chère Thrace, yep its hard to be a teacher, but more hard to be a great teacher. I really hope I'm a good one.... But some days are better, like this day was really, really great my students was brilliant! Thanks to be there for me ma chérie *bigger hugs* And you, how are you ?
